An Ethics Workshop was organized by Materia Group in the context of the iCan project as encouraged by the AAL Programme and the newest circulated ethics guidelines.
Thus, Materia Group took the opportunity to include the iCan project in a larger ethics workshop organized in Cyprus with the participation of different stakeholders and experts from various fields. The Chatham House rule applied:
- Every one can feel free to speak
- A report was made but no names were included in it.
“When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.”
Different questions were openly discussed:
- Are the main AAL values well considered in iCan system?
- What are the most important values that the iCan system should take into consideration?
